Olympic Association celebrates International Yoga Day

A grand event marking International Yoga Day was held today at the Wushu Hall within the Birsa Munda Stadium, organized jointly by the Jharkhand Olympic Association and the Ranchi District Olympic Association.
Athletes from Ranchi district representing disciplines such as gymnastics, wushu, athletics, lawn bowls, netball, taekwondo, handball, and yoga, along with office-bearers from various sports associations, participated enthusiastically in this splendidly organized event. Office-bearers of both the Ranchi District Olympic Association and the Jharkhand Olympic Association also actively took part in the yoga session.
Several dignitaries were present on the occasion, including Jharkhand Olympic Association Treasurer Shivendra Nath Dubey, Nishikant Pathak, Chanchal Bhattacharya, Uday Sahu, Sanjay Jha, Shabbir Hussain, Shailendra Dubey, Tulika Srivastava, Rajni Bakshi, Dr. Deepak Kumar, Govind Jha, Uttam Raj, Vishnu Kumar, and Anant Nag Chandan.
A highlight of the event was the captivating performance by gymnastics and yoga athletes, which left the entire audience spellbound. Speaking on the occasion, Jharkhand Olympic Association Treasurer Shivendra Nath Dubey encouraged the athletes and described regular yoga practice as the foundation of a healthy, disciplined, and successful life. At the conclusion of the program, Chanchal Bhattacharya proposed the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all the athletes, coaches, and guests present.
