Compassionate appointments granted to dependents in Pakur

Deputy Commissioner Megha Bhardwaj on Tuesday distributed appointment letters to three candidates under the compassionate appointment scheme at the Collectorate office chamber in Pakur.
The appointments were made based on the recommendations of the district’s Compassionate Appointment Committee dated May 30, 2026. The initiative aims to provide immediate support to families of deceased government employees facing financial hardship.
On this occasion, Alfred Soren was appointed as a Lower Division Clerk in the Pakur Collectorate, while Zeeshan Ahmad was appointed as a clerk in the Education Department. Salfi Alam received appointment as a Class IV employee (attendant) in the Collectorate.
Addressing the newly appointed employees, the Deputy Commissioner said that compassionate appointments are not merely a means of employment but a crucial support system for families going through difficult times. She urged the appointees to discharge their duties with honesty, discipline, and a strong sense of responsibility.
Bhardwaj emphasized that government service carries a significant responsibility towards society and the nation. She expressed hope that the newly appointed employees would contribute positively to strengthening the dignity and efficiency of the department as well as the district administration through their work.
