Training programme on voter list updation held in Dumka

June 23, 2026

KUMAR PRABHAT

DUMKA

In a proactive move to ensure a flawless electoral roll, a comprehensive training program was conducted at the Dumka block office under the Special Brief Revision (SSR) 2026. The session primarily focused on the seamless distribution and accurate compilation of enumeration forms, laying down critical guidelines to streamline the ongoing voter list update process across the district.

Underscoring the sanctity of the democratic process, Dumka Deputy Commissioner Abhijit Sinha directed all Booth Level Officers (BLOs) to maintain a thorough grasp of the foundational details governing the electoral roll. Addressing the personnel, the Deputy Commissioner emphasized that an accurate and updated voter list serves as the bedrock of democracy. He urged the BLOs to execute their designated duties with the utmost sincerity, precision, and responsibility.

The top district official further instructed that the enumeration forms must reach every eligible citizen within the stipulated time frame, highlighting that there is absolutely no room for errors during the data entry phase. Alongside distribution, he noted that handholding support and awareness must be extended to the public so that no eligible voter is left disenfranchised due to procedural gaps. During the technical segment of the training, senior officials briefed the block staff on the intricacies of form distribution, secure data collection, document verification, and the digital update mechanisms.

In a concurrent development, Sinha utilized his visit to the block office to interact directly with the local public who had gathered with grievances and petitions. Engaging with the citizens individually, he lent a patient ear to their grievances, ranging from civic amenities to administrative delays. Taking swift action on the spot, the DC issued strict directives to the concerned departmental heads for the time-bound and effective redressal of the received applications, reiterating that sensitive and responsive governance remains the topmost priority of the district administration.
