Two-Day training for volunteers begins for SIR-2026

Preparations have intensified in Deoghar district for the successful implementation of the Special Intensive Revision of Electoral Rolls-2026.
The two-day comprehensive training programme for volunteers assisting Booth Level Officers (BLOs) commenced today. The training is being held at the Shilpgram Auditorium, Nandan Pahar.
A total of 1,245 volunteers have been nominated from various blocks, municipal corporations, and municipal councils across the district to support BLOs in preparing an error-free voter list.
The training programme has been divided into two phases — 27 June 2026 and 29 June 2026.
On 27.June 2026, the first and second shifts of the training were conducted, in which 635 volunteers from Deoghar, Devipur, Karown, Mohanpur blocks, and Deoghar Municipal Corporation area participated. Authorised Master Trainers provided detailed information on field work, technical procedures, and the processes for adding and correcting voter names.
According to the Sub-District Election Officer, the main objective of this special intensive revision programme is to include the names of all eligible citizens of Deoghar district in the voter list and prepare a transparent and accurate electoral roll.
All volunteers have been directed to fully implement the learnings from the training and assist the BLOs with complete dedication and integrity.
On 29 June 2026, the remaining 610 volunteers from Madhupur, Madhupur Municipality, Margomunda, Karmatanr, Sarath, and Palojori will be trained.
