The Government of Jharkhand, through its Departments of Information Technology, Industries and Tourism, will organise a two-day National Stakeholders Consultation on 8–9 July 2026 at New Delhi, under the leadership of Chief Minister Hemant Soren.

Today, CM Hemant Soren was paid a courtesy call by the Secretary, Information Technology Department, Pooja Singhal and Secretary, Industries Department, Arava Rajkamal and was formally invited to attend the event as the Chief Guest. Rajeev Lochan Bakshi, Special Secretary, Information & Public Relations Department was also present at the occasion.

The consultation will bring together leading policymakers, industry leaders, investors, technology experts and development partners from India and abroad to deliberate on Jharkhand’s long-term development agenda and chart a roadmap for sustainable industrial, technological and tourism-led growth.

As part of the consultation, the Government will release draft policy frameworks for stakeholder consultation and invite valuable feedback from industry and other key stakeholders. These include the Draft Jharkhand AI Policy, Draft Jharkhand Investment Promotion Policy, Draft Jharkhand Tourism Policy, Draft Jharkhand Textile Policy, Draft JIADA Regulations, Draft PPP Policy, and the Concept Paper on the Jharkhand Foundation, along with other draft policy initiatives.

The consultation marks a significant step towards positioning Jharkhand as a preferred destination for investment in Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence, Digital Governance, Industrial investment and Tourism, while advancing the State’s vision of “Explore Infinite Opportunities.”

The opening day of the event will feature a high-level session on Digital Governance and IT Infrastructure, bringing together senior government officials, technology experts and industry leaders to discuss opportunities for strengthening Jharkhand’s IT ecosystem, AI adoption, digital governance and IT infrastructure.

This will be followed by Business-to-Government (B2G) interactions between the Government and representatives from the IT, AI and digital technology sectors.

A dedicated session titled “Shaping Jharkhand’s AI Future” will focus on the State’s proposed AI policy framework and emerging opportunities in Artificial Intelligence. Several Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) are also expected to be signed between the Information Technology Department and leading companies.

The second day will focus on Investment and Inclusive Development and Tourism, showcasing Jharkhand’s industrial strengths, cultural heritage and tourism potential before domestic and international investors.

A dedicated stakeholder consultation on Industrial Promotion and Investment will deliberate on strategies for attracting new industries and strengthening the State’s industrial ecosystem.

The programme will also witness the signing of several strategic MoUs with leading industrial houses to accelerate investment and economic development in Jharkhand.

In addition, the Government will officially unveil several draft policy frameworks and launch new digital portals aimed at improving governance, ease of doing business and investor facilitation.

The National Stakeholders Consultation will conclude with a cultural programme, showcasing Jharkhand’s rich cultural heritage, traditional music and dance, etc. The evening will provide delegates, industry leaders, policymakers and distinguished guests from India and abroad with an opportunity to experience the State’s unique cultural identity while fostering meaningful networking and collaboration.
