Lohardaga DC ensuresbenefits of welfare schemes reaches poor

June 2, 2026

Pioneer News Service, Lohardaga

Emphasizing the importance of coordinated efforts among government departments, Deputy Commissioner Sandeep Kumar Meena stated that effective inter-departmental collaboration was essential to ensure that the benefits of development and welfare schemes reached the last person in society.

He made the remarks while chairing a meeting of the District Development Coordination Committee at the Collectorate Auditorium on Monday. During the meeting, the progress of various government schemes was reviewed, and officials were directed to expedite the execution of pending projects within stipulated timelines.

The Deputy Commissioner reportedly stressed that the implementation of flagship government programmes remained a top administrative priority and warned that unnecessary delays in development works would not be tolerated. Several important decisions relating to education, power supply, and infrastructure development were taken during the meeting.

Officials were instructed to ensure shed construction for beneficiaries of the Chief Minister Livestock Development Scheme, facilitate land allocation for warehouse construction at different LAMPS, and provide electricity connectivity to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Residential School at Hirhi.

The committee also decided to relocate a transformer situated in the playground of Government Middle School, Arru, in Senha block to the edge of the field. Approval was granted for the construction of a boundary wall at PM SHRI Government Upgraded Middle School, Bidhni, in Peshrar block. Officials were further directed to identify dilapidated school buildings, declare them unsafe, and shift students to nearby secure facilities.
