Joggers Park Sports Academy launches football training programme

A football training programme for children in the sub-junior and junior categories was inaugurated at the Joggers Park Sports Academy in Shastrinagar, Kadma, on Sunday, providing budding footballers with an opportunity to develop their skills under professional guidance.
The academy, run by Shaheed Nirmal Seva Sadan, began its coaching programme under the supervision of experienced football coach Iftikhar Alam. International yoga guru Anshu Sarkar, Founder and Director of Sarkar Yoga Charitable Academy, inaugurated the programme by taking the ceremonial opening kick.
Addressing the participants, Anshu Sarkar said sports play a vital role not only in maintaining physical fitness but also in developing discipline, leadership qualities, self-confidence and team spirit among children.
He encouraged the young players to train regularly, maintain a healthy lifestyle and embrace the spirit of sportsmanship while pursuing excellence on the field.
General Secretary of Shaheed Nirmal Seva Sadan, G.K. Bose, said the primary objective of the Joggers Park Sports Academy is to provide quality sports training to children and youth from the locality and help them realise their potential.
He said the academy aims to prepare talented players for district, state and national-level competitions. In the coming months, the academy also plans to introduce coaching and competitions in other sports to create broader opportunities for aspiring athletes.
A large number of children from Nirmal Colony and nearby localities participated enthusiastically in the inaugural training session.
Among those present on the occasion were Rehana Aslam Malik, Prof. Aslam Malik, Anima Bose, Naima Hussain, Sunita Devi and Ritam Bose, who appreciated the initiative and wished the young footballers success in their sporting journey.
