Rotary Club of Bokaro Steel City holds 58th installation ceremony

Rotary Club of Bokaro Steel City marked the beginning of Rotary Year 2026–27 with a cervical cancer vaccination drive followed by its 58th Installation Ceremony.
The day commenced with an HPV vaccination drive at the club’s adopted village, Ulgora, in collaboration with Muskan Hospital & Research Centre. Rotarian Dr. S. C. Munshi and Dr. Roli administered the first dose of the vaccine to 31 girls, who participated enthusiastically in the awareness initiative.
The installation ceremony in the evening was graced by Past Rotary International Director Kamal Sanghvi as the chief guest. Outgoing President Hardeep Singh reviewed the club’s achievements during the past year, while outgoing Secretary Ghanshyam Dass presented the annual report highlighting key service projects.
During the leadership handover, Poonam Trehan took over as President and Debashish Sahana assumed charge as Secretary. In her address, Poonam Trehan outlined her vision for the coming year. Past District Governor Mahesh Kejriwal spoke on Rotary’s 2026–27 theme, “Create Lasting Impact,” urging members to continue their commitment to community service.
The programme also featured the release of the club’s e-Souvenir, felicitation of mentors and distinguished members, leadership handover of the Ladies’ Committee, and concluded with fellowship, reflecting Rotary’s spirit of “Service Above Self.”
