A horrific double murder has sent shockwaves through Beludih village, located within the jurisdiction of the Saraiyahat police station in Dumka district. In a terrifying outburst of violence, a man brutally assaulted his 15-year-old daughter, murdered her, and subsequently killed an elderly relative who attempted to intervene and diffuse the domestic dispute. The dual killings have left the entire locality gripped by panic and distress as local authorities uncover the grim details of the crime.
The minor victim has been identified as 15-year-old Purki Kumari. According to police sources, the primary accused, identified as Hadua Mandal, lost his temper over a domestic dispute and began thrashing his teenage daughter with relentless ferocity. Upon hearing the girl’s frantic screams, her 60-year-old cousin uncle, Sarju Mandal, rushed to the house alongside another relative, Badami Devi, in a desperate attempt to counsel the father and rescue the child.
However, the intervention only infuriated the assailant further. Turning his wrath upon the peacemakers, Hadua Mandal launched a vicious physical assault on both relatives, beating Sarju Mandal so severely that he succumbed to his injuries. Badami Devi also sustained grievous wounds during the attack and was rushed by panicked neighbors to a nearby medical facility, where she is currently undergoing treatment.
In a desperate bid to cover up the crime after the fatal thrashing, the accused father dragged his daughter’s lifeless body and dumped it into a nearby well. Upon receiving information from traumatized villagers, a police contingent from the Saraiyahat station immediately cordoned off the area. Law enforcement officials successfully apprehended the accused killer before he could flee the village. The police team retrieved the teenager’s body from the well and sent both deceased individuals for post-mortem examinations. Investigations are actively underway from all angles to uncover the exact trigger that led to this gruesome family tragedy.
