Aspirants of the 14th Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) Combined Civil Services Examination staged a protest outside the JPSC headquarters in Ranchi on Tuesday, alleging irregularities in the declaration of the preliminary examination results.
The protesters accused the Commission of releasing the results without maintaining transparency and demanded a fair review of the selection process.
Leading the demonstration, AJSU Chhatra Sangh state president Om Verma questioned the functioning of the Commission and alleged that question papers had been leaked and seats were being sold for money. He demanded a thorough and impartial investigation into the recruitment process.
Verma said the agitation would continue in a phased manner until the Commission addressed the concerns of the candidates.
Several aspirants also alleged that the Commission published the preliminary examination results without releasing the cut-off marks. They further claimed that the results were issued without the signatures of Commission members, which they said was against the Commission’s prescribed guidelines.
The protesters demanded greater transparency in the recruitment process and urged the Commission to clarify the issues raised by the candidates.
The Jharkhand Public Service Commission had not issued any official response to the allegations at the time of filing this report.
