Mounting frustration among job seekers across Jharkhand has culminated in a formal demand to cancel the recently conducted Santhali Paper-2 of the JSSC Field Worker Competitive Examination, with youth body Jharkhand Kranti Sena petitioning Chief Minister Hemant Soren and the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission chairman for an immediate re-examination.
The delegation cited severe syllabus mismatches, erratic question standards, and glaring technical flaws in the answer key options that have cast a shadow over the fairness of the recruitment drive.
Elaborating on the widespread dissatisfaction, Jharkhand Kranti Sena central member Nikhil Murmu pointed out that the questions framed for the regional Santhali language section far exceeded the expected academic threshold for a field worker role. Instead of aligning with the basic eligibility criteria, the question paper incorporated complex topics modeled after Combined Graduate Level (CGL), post-graduate, and UGC-NET syllabi, leaving candidates bewildered and aggrieved by what they termed an unfair assessment process.
Echoing the sentiment, candidate Prem Hansda highlighted the psychological and administrative toll on youth who dedicate years to competitive preparation, urging Chief Minister Soren to personally intervene and scrap the contested paper to restore public trust in state recruitment mechanisms. Meanwhile, fellow aspirant Aryan advised the commission to immediately halt the release of answer keys and current evaluation work, advocating instead for a independent committee of native Santhali language experts to audit the question bank before conducting a fresh, standard-compliant exam.
The protest demonstration in Dumka saw prominent participation from youth leaders and members including Luv Kishore, Raju, Subhash, Ampay, Amit, Asif David, and Francis, all standing in solidarity to demand swift administrative redressal for affected candidates.
