Grand opening of Jharkhand T20 League at JSCA Stadium today

In a first for Jharkhand cricket, the state is set to host its own franchise-style T20 league on the lines of the IPL, with the inaugural edition of the Jharkhand T20 Cricket League commencing from June 10 at the JSCA International Stadium.
Six teams representing different regions of the state will compete in the tournament, promising two weeks of high-octane cricket action for fans.
Addressing the media, Sambhav Jain, director of SJ Uplift, said preparations for the grand opening ceremony have been completed. Bollywood singer Kanika Kapoor will perform at the inaugural event, while local artists from Jharkhand will also showcase cultural performances, blending cricket with entertainment.
During the league stage, two matches will be played daily — the first at 12 noon and the second at 7:30 pm. The semi-finals are scheduled for June 22, while the final will be played on the night of June 23 to crown the first-ever Jharkhand T20 champion.
In a major attraction for fans, entry to the stadium will be free of cost. Spectators will be allowed to enter the venue two hours prior to the scheduled match timings.
For those unable to attend in person, the matches will be broadcast live on Jio Hotstar and DD Sports.
The six participating teams include Ranchi Titans, Dhanbad Diamonds, Jamshedpur Steelers, Santhal Strikers, Koylanchal Super Kings, and Chotanagpur Royals. The teams will be guided by experienced coaches, including Ratan Kumar (Ranchi Titans), Rahul Shukla (Dhanbad Diamonds), S.P. Gautam (Jamshedpur Steelers), Shabbir Hussain (Santhal Strikers), Sunny Gupta (Koylanchal Super Kings), and Ishank Jaggi (Chotanagpur Royals).
The league is expected to provide a significant platform for emerging cricketers from Jharkhand while offering fans an exciting new sporting spectacle.
