A review meeting on the implementation of ‘Project Impact’ and ‘Project RAIL’ was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Development Commissioner (DDC) Piyush Sinha, with principals of 12 schools from Sarath, Madhupur, Margomunda and Sarwan blocks participating.
The meeting, attended by the District Education Officer, officials concerned and the District Mineral Foundation Trust (DMFT) team, focused on ensuring effective implementation of ‘Project Impact’ and adherence to the special checklist prepared under the initiative.
The DDC briefed the principals on the action plan and emphasised the need for regular and accurate recording of school-level activities. Discussions were also held on ‘Project RAIL’, while problems and complaints raised by the participating schools were reviewed. The officials concerned were directed to take necessary steps for resolving the issues.
The DDC said the action plan under ‘Project Impact’ had been divided into five major components. These include a Daily Morning Assembly Checklist covering prayer assembly activities and weekly grid marking; a Classroom Checklist for recording daily and weekly classroom activities; and a Student Hygiene and Grooming Tracker, under which one sheet will be maintained every month for each class. Students performing well in hygiene and grooming will be awarded a ‘Monthly Hygiene Ribbon’.
The plan also includes recording periodic school-level activities, including the dates of events already held and those proposed for the future, besides a Monthly Self-Evaluation system under which schools will be rated on various performance themes.
