The festival of Raksha Bandhan, symbolising the enduring bond of love, affection and trust between brothers and sisters, was celebrated with warmth and emotion at the residence of Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Friday.
On the auspicious occasion, Soren’s elder sister, Anjani Soren, tied a rakhi on his wrist and wished him happiness, good health and a long life. His cousins also tied rakhi to the Chief Minister and prayed for his well-being and prosperity.
Soren received the blessings of his elder sister and extended his affection, blessings and good wishes to his younger sisters. He also conveyed his greetings to the people of Jharkhand on the occasion of Shravan Purnima and Raksha Bandhan, wishing everyone happiness, prosperity, progress and a fulfilling life.
His mother, Rupi Soren, and other family members were present on the occasion.
Meanwhile, Mati Soren travelled from Sitasal village in Shikaripara block of Dumka district to Ranchi to tie a rakhi on the Chief Minister. Soren blessed Mati Soren and extended his greetings to her at the festival.
Mati Soren has been travelling to Ranchi and tying a rakhi on Hemant Soren on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan for several years, continuing a cherished family tradition.
