Upon the arrival of Jharkhand Pradesh Congress In-Charge K. Raju at Birsa Munda Airport in Ranchi, Congress leaders and workers gave him a warm welcome. On this occasion, Congress leader Bandhu Tirkey felicitated Shri K. Raju in accordance with Jharkhand’s rich tribal tradition and culture by placing a traditional leaf cap on his head and draping a gamcha (traditional scarf) around him. Through this traditional welcome, a message of respect was also conveyed towards Jharkhand’s jal-jungle-jameen (water-forest-land), tribal identity, culture, and traditions. Considerable enthusiasm was visible among Congress leaders and workers on this occasion. The leaders said that under the guidance of Shri K. Raju, the resolve to further strengthen the Jharkhand Congress organizationally and to raise the issues of the common people more forcefully has been reinforced.
Present at the welcome programme were Hon’ble former Union Minister Subodh Kant Sahay, Minister. Shilpi Neha Tirkey, Shri Shahzada Anwar, Prem Prakash Nath Sahdeo, Pradesh Spokesperson Vijay Shankar Nayak,. Sundari Tirkey, Shri Surendra Singh, Arun Mishra, Sanjay Kumar, Vinay Kumar, along with hundreds of Congress leaders, office-bearers, and workers. Congress leaders stated that the identity of the land of Jharkhand lies in its tribal culture, social harmony, and legacy of struggle. Welcoming the Pradesh In-Charge in the traditional manner on the land of Birsa Munda is a symbol of respect for this glorious heritage and the Congress’s commitment.
During the programme, Congress workers reiterated their resolve to strengthen the organization down to the booth level, give priority to public interest issues, and face the upcoming political challenges in a united manner.
