A special programme on the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in education was organised in Deoghar under the joint aegis of The Destination Class and Astrofiles India, bringing together educators, students, journalists and government officials to promote the safe, ethical and effective use of AI in learning.
Titled “AI in Education – AI and Us,” the event focused on enhancing AI literacy and encouraging the responsible adoption of emerging technologies in classrooms. The programme was conducted by Dhananjay Narayan Khawade, who kept the interactive session engaging throughout.
Addressing the gathering, Chief Guest Abhay Parasar, District Information and Science Officer, Government of India, said Artificial Intelligence is poised to become a key pillar of future education. He stressed that while embracing technological advancements, equal importance must be given to ethical AI practices and cyber security. He urged teachers and students to use digital tools responsibly and thoughtfully.
Welcoming the participants, Pranay Narayan Khawade, founder of The Destination Class, said the institute is committed to equipping students with modern technological skills in a safe and guided environment. He noted that responsible AI adoption would help nurture creativity and innovation among young learners.
Senior journalist Udayesh Ravi highlighted AI’s growing applications beyond education, including archaeology, scientific research, history and data analysis, encouraging students to view technology as a tool for knowledge creation.
A major attraction of the programme was a live demonstration of AI tools by Astrofiles India founder Sandeep Poddar. Using platforms such as Google NotebookLM and Google AI Studio, he showcased how AI can simplify complex concepts through visual aids and interactive learning techniques.
The programme concluded with participants pledging to promote AI literacy, responsible technology use and innovation, with the shared vision of establishing Deoghar as a future-ready hub for technical education and Artificial Intelligence.
