An “Inter School Reading Competition” for Classes 3-5 was held at The International Library and Cultural Center on Wednesday, 8th  July 2026.

Students were given passages from old children’s classics like Stuart Little by E B White, Dear Grumble by W J Corbett, Stories For 7-Year-Olds (collection of popular tales by Grimm &  Hans Anderson) edited by Sara & Stephen Corrin, to read. They were judged on presentation, expression, attention to punctuation, voice modulation, pronunciation etc.

The event was organised and conducted by the Cultural Secretary of ILCC Mrs. Rekha Mishra. 

The Judges were Ms. Renu Tiwari, Ms. Prakriti Singh and Ms. Geetanjali Hirani.

Ms. Nivedita Sharma, Librarian of ILCC, was also present.

Participating schools included Gurunanak Higher Secondary School, DAV Public School Gandhinagar, Bridgeford School Tupudana, Delhi Public School, Srijan Valley School, SS Bridgeford School Durwa, Bridgeford School Karamtoli, Cambrian Public School, DAV Kapildev Public School, St. Mary’s (N) School, Surendranath Centenary, Sarala Birla Public School and DAV Public School Bariatu.
