The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) actively engages in Hul Diwas (June 30) programs across the Santhal Pargana region, including at the martyrs’ birthplace of Bhognadih in Sahibganj district. The party often utilizes the occasion to strengthen its tribal outreach, voice opposition to the ruling state government’s policies, and honor tribal icons like Sido and Kanhu
This year BJP will not only organize a program at the Amar Shaheed Sthal, Bhoganadih, on the occasion of Hul Diwas, but is also preparing to celebrate this day in all 595 mandals across the state. State President Aditya Sahu announced the celebration of Hul Diwas in all mandals.
In this regard, State President Aditya Sahu stated that this year, on the occasion of Hul Diwas, the BJP will garland the statues of the immortal martyrs of the Hul Revolution, Sido-Kanho, Chand-Bhairav, and Phoolo-Jhano, in all mandals across Jharkhand. A nine-member organizing committee has been formed to ensure a grand and comprehensive celebration of this day in Bhoganadih.
Sahu stated that the great heroes of Jharkhand’s tribal community played a vital role in the freedom struggle. Many sons sacrificed their lives. On June 30th, 1855, the tribal community of Jharkhand sounded the bugle of revolution. Hul Diwas symbolizes the tribal community’s arduous struggle and sacrifice.
Sahu said that opposition parties have only been using the tribal community as a political tool. However, the Bharatiya Janata Party has truly championed tribal pride, their honor, their identity, and their rights. The Narendra Modi government has established their interests, their rights, their culture, and their heritage as a symbol of national pride. Our party’s primary objective in celebrating this date in all districts is to honor and pay tribute to the great leaders of the tribal community by remembering their invaluable contributions on this auspicious occasion.
