Thousands of youth workers from across Jharkhand, led by the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) Jharkhand State Unit, staged a massive protest and encircled the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) office against alleged fraud, corruption, and irregularities in the 14th JPSC examination results. Raising fierce slogans against the state government, the agitated youth unanimously demanded the immediate cancellation of the 14th JPSC results and a comprehensive probe by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
Addressing the gathering, BJYM State President Shashank Raj accused the current state government of compromising the credibility of a constitutional institution like JPSC.
“Instead of ensuring a transparent recruitment process, the state government has turned employment into a business—looting the hard-earned money of candidate applicants through exam fees. The dreams of lakhs of youth in Jharkhand have been traded away, and their legitimate rights have been robbed,” he stated.
Shashank Raj highlighted that the resignation of the JPSC Chairman—yielded under the pressure of BJYM’s torchlight procession and statewide outrage—itself casts severe suspicion over the entire process. He questioned, “If everything was transparent, why was there a need to remove the Chairman? This alone underscores the gravity of the recruitment scam.”
Dismissing the ongoing CID probe and police action by the state government, Raj questioned their neutrality. He said that since state investigating agencies operate under the state government, a fair investigation cannot be expected. The current state-level probe is merely a political stunt designed to divert public attention.
He further pointed out systemic issues within JPSC, noting that candidate answer key copies are not being provided via RTI, no regular annual exam calendars have been issued for years, and reduced age limits have thrown the future of lakhs of aspirants into uncertainty. He warned that BJYM’s agitation would escalate into a broader, more aggressive movement until the results are canceled and justice is served. Vinay Jaiswal (BJYM State In-Charge) labeled the current administration as completely “anti-youth,” adding that the government shows zero concern for the future of native Jharkhandis and is playing with their rights instead of providing jobs.
Echoing the views, Romit Narayan Singh (BJYM Ranchi City President) stated that the government is attempting to suppress the voice of the youth using police force and batons, but BJYM will neither bow down nor yield. He affirmed that this fight for youth rights will be fought to the very end.
The protest saw widespread participation from several prominent leaders, including Manish Dubey, Biswajit Pathak, Sanjay Mahto, Randhir Das, Prince Kumar, Rahul Chaubey, Dheeraj Agarwal, Shweta Singh, Chandan Prajapati, along with all district presidents, state office bearers, and thousands of enthusiastic youth workers.
