BNH distributes raincoats to Jamshedpur Police

Brahmananda Narayana Hospital, Jamshedpur, organized a Basic Life Support (BLS) training programme and distributed raincoats to police personnel at the Jamshedpur Police Control Room premises in Sakchi on Saturday. The initiative aimed to enhance the emergency response capabilities of police personnel while ensuring their safety during the ongoing monsoon season.
The training programme focused on equipping police personnel with essential life-saving skills that can prove crucial during medical emergencies. Dr. Mukesh Kumar, Medical Superintendent of Brahmananda Narayana Hospital, conducted practical demonstrations on Basic Life Support techniques, including first-response measures that can help save lives before professional medical assistance arrives.
Addressing the gathering, A. Dharma Rao, Facility Director of Brahmananda Narayana Hospital, announced that the hospital has been empanelled under the Rajya Karmi Swasthya Bima Yojana (State Employees’ Health Insurance Scheme). He informed that under the scheme, Jharkhand police personnel and their family members are now eligible to receive quality healthcare services at the hospital.
The announcement was welcomed by police officials present at the event. The Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Jamshedpur, Dr. Ehtesham Waquarib, praised the hospital’s initiative and said such programmes strengthen the capacity of police personnel to respond effectively during emergencies while also promoting their overall well-being.
“This initiative by Narayana Health for police personnel is highly commendable. We look forward to collaborating on similar public welfare programmes in the future that will benefit both the police force and the general public,” the SSP said.
As part of the programme, raincoats were distributed to all police personnel in attendance to help them perform their duties more effectively during the rainy season.
Officials from Brahmananda Narayana Hospital and the Jamshedpur Police also reaffirmed their commitment to working together on future initiatives related to health awareness, emergency preparedness, and community welfare.
