Bokaro, August 21: DC Bokaro Ajay Nath Jha on Friday reviewed various departments and government schemes through video conferencing, with special focus on public grievances and feedback received through social media.
Jha said social media has become an important platform for citizens to bring their concerns to the administration. While constructive public participation is welcome, he cautioned against spreading misleading information, provoking people or disturbing the social environment, saying such cases would be dealt with as per rules.
Reviewing the ground-fire incident in Pilpila village under Gomia block, Jha sought updates from Bermo SDO Manoj Kumar and ONGC and CCL officials. He directed regular monitoring of the affected area and weekly reviews, while instructing the BDO and CO to ensure that no deep-boring work is undertaken without due permission.
Jha also reviewed JSLPS activities and expenditure, noting Bokaro’s sixth position in the state. He directed BDOs to conduct monthly reviews and stressed identification of ‘Patrakar Didis’ through SHG Didis, along with village-level selection and publication of a bulletin on JSLPS activities.
He further directed officials to expedite the proposed Didi Canteen at the Collectorate and start operations by September 14. NGDRS-related matters, extension of contractual staff and the proposed school at Nawadih on the lines of Netarhat were also reviewed.
SP Nathu Singh Meena, DDC Shatabdi Majumdar, trainee IAS officer Arvind Radhakrishnan, Additional Collector Sunil Chandra and other officials attended the meeting.
