BSL Coke Oven Dept sets new production and sales records

The Coke Oven Department of Bokaro Steel Plant (BSL) has delivered an outstanding performance in the first quarter of FY 2026–27 and during June 2026, achieving several new milestones in production and sales.
In June 2026, the department recorded an average of 531 oven pushings per day, the highest monthly performance in its history, surpassing the previous record of 530 oven pushings per day set in March 2026.
The department also established a new first-quarter record in FY 2026–27 with an average of 526 oven pushings per day, exceeding the previous best of 513 oven pushings per day achieved during the first quarter of FY 2023–24.
The Coke Oven Department also witnessed a historic surge in coal chemicals sales, registering its highest-ever monthly sales in June 2026 and surpassing the previous record set in September 2024. In addition, the department achieved its best-ever first-quarter coal chemicals sales in FY 2026–27, improving upon the record established in the first quarter of FY 2025–26.
These achievements reflect the department’s enhanced production efficiency, operational excellence, and the dedicated efforts of its workforce, reinforcing its commitment to sustaining high performance in the coming months.
