Reinforcing its long-standing commitment to the welfare of pilgrims, the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Department of Bokaro Steel Plant (BSL) on Monday flagged off the Ispat Sanjeevani Medical Mobile Unit for Baidyanath Dham, Deoghar, where it will provide free primary healthcare services during the Shravani Mela.
The mobile medical unit, operated by Piramal Swasthya under BSL’s CSR initiative, was flagged off from the Ispat Bhavan premises in the presence of the Director In-Charge, Executive Directors, officials and employees of the CSR and other departments, along with members of the Baidyanath Seva Trust.
Before the departure, arrangements for the medical camp, availability of essential medicines and preparedness of healthcare services were reviewed. Supported by Bokaro General Hospital (BGH), the team has been equipped with medicines, first-aid supplies, dressings and other essential medical materials.
Accompanied by healthcare professionals and volunteers, the Ispat Sanjeevani unit left for Deoghar amid chants of “Bol Bam.” BSL has been organising a primary healthcare camp near Baidyanath Dham for over three decades during the holy month of Shravan, offering free and prompt medical assistance to thousands of Kanwariyas throughout the annual pilgrimage.
