In a key step toward strengthening regional sports talent, representatives of the Dumka District Cricket Association (DDCA) actively participated in the Annual General Meeting of the Jharkhand State Cricket Association (JSCA). Led by DDCA President Bhaskar Ajit Singh and Secretary S.M. Kunal, the district delegation engaged in strategic discussions concerning the overarching growth of cricket in the state, upcoming season schedules, and grassroot-level athletic welfare.
During the meeting, DDCA Secretary S.M. Kunal held a constructive discussion with JSCA Secretary Saurabh Tiwary, submitting an extensive report on the district’s recent achievements and strategic initiatives. Kunal highlighted the notable strides made by the district body through collective administrative efforts, which include setting up an independent administrative headquarters, securing dedicated access to a cricket ground for a five-year term, and finalizing preparations to launch a full-fledged cricket academy designed to train budding local players.
The talks also focused closely on upgrading and refining the infrastructure at the A Team Cricket Ground to provide professional-grade training and tournament conditions. Reaffirming the state body’s commitment to district development, JSCA Secretary Saurabh Tiwary assured complete administrative and technical support for Dumka’s ongoing projects. Local cricket administrators and sports enthusiasts have hailed the discussions as a pivotal breakthrough that will significantly accelerate sporting opportunities and player development throughout the district.
