Marandi hails PM Modi tenure as ‘golden chapter’ for country

The BJP has begun presenting an account of achievements to the public regarding Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 12-year tenure. Leader of the Opposition Babulal Marandi described these achievements as a historic chapter of “service, good governance, and development.”
Marandi stated that as an elected Prime Minister, Narendra Modi has completed 4,400 days in office, setting the record for the longest continuous tenure as the country’s Prime Minister. He termed this a “golden chapter” for both the BJP and the nation. According to Marandi, the Modi government has set numerous development milestones over these 12 years. He noted that while poverty was merely a slogan for the Congress, the Modi government has lifted 25 crore people out of poverty.
Over 50 crore people have been linked to the Ayushman Bharat scheme. More than 4 crore people have received permanent houses. Over 11 crore Ujjwala gas connections have been distributed.More than 2 lakh startups are active. The country’s economy has risen from the 11th to the 4th position and is on track to become the third-largest economy. Babulal Marandi also cited figures regarding the development work undertaken by the central government in Jharkhand.
In the context of Jharkhand, Marandi highlighted that 2.02 crore Jan Dhan accounts, Over 1.35 crore Ayushman cards, 2.64 crore beneficiaries of pro-poor welfare schemes, Benefits of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme for 18.8 lakh farmers, Over ₹89,000 crore distributed under the PM Mudra Yojana, Tap water connections provided to 34.4 lakh families, 38.9 lakh Ujjwala gas connections among others.
Marandi mentioned the construction of the Deoghar Airport, AIIMS, and several new medical colleges. Targeting the Congress, he noted that while there was previously only one AIIMS in the entire country, there are now 23. The number of airports in the country has risen from 74 to 160. Several road projects, including the Bharatmala Pariyojana, are being constructed in Jharkhand.
Accusing previous governments of neglect, Marandi stated that the Modi government has ushered in a wave of development in terrorism-affected regions. Key examples include the extension of rail connectivity to Srinagar, the establishment of peace in the Northeast, the abrogation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir, the surgical strikes, the air strikes, and Operation Sindoor.
Development initiatives are now being undertaken in border areas by treating them as the “first villages.” Politically, he highlighted that the NDA is currently in power in 22 states, covering 78 percent of the country’s landmass. He also cited the BJP’s growing strength in West Bengal as a significant achievement.
Babulal Marandi stated that, guided by the mantra of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas” (Together with all, Development for all, Trust of all, Effort of all), Prime Minister Modi envisions transforming India into a developed nation by 2047. He asserted that the public continues to stand firmly with Modi precisely because of this dedication and commitment.
