ESL Steel Limited, a subsidiary of Vedanta Iron and Steel (VISL), has secured the prestigious CII GreenPro Ecolabel Certification for its V-WIRRO Wire Rod and V-DUCPIPE Ductile Iron Pipe, marking another milestone in its sustainability journey.
With this, the company’s three flagship products—V-Xega TMT Bars, V-WIRRO Wire Rods and V-DUCPIPE Ductile Iron Pipes—are now GreenPro certified, reflecting its commitment to environmentally responsible manufacturing.
The GreenPro Ecolabel, developed by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), recognises products that meet stringent lifecycle-based standards for carbon footprint, resource efficiency and environmental performance.
Ravish Sharma, CEO and Whole-time Director of ESL Steel Limited, said the certification underscores the company’s focus on responsible manufacturing and sustainable growth. He added that ESL Steel remains committed to delivering high-quality, environmentally friendly steel solutions.
The company said it will continue to promote innovation, energy efficiency and green technologies to support sustainable industrial development.
