Fire Safety Training given to Home Guards in Deoghar

A disaster management and fire safety training camp was organised on 7 July 2026 at the local Fire Station premises for the second batch of male and female jawans of the Home Guards (Grih Raksha Vahini).
District Fire Officer, who was present as the chief trainer, addressed the participants and said that Home Guard jawans are the backbone of the administrative system. Their swift response plays a crucial role during any sudden disaster or fire incident. The special technical session was organised with this objective in mind.
During the training, jawans were given detailed information about fire safety rules along with the different types of fires — solid, liquid, gas, and electrical — and the scientific methods to deal with them. A live demonstration of modern firefighting equipment, safety gear, and life-saving devices used by the fire brigade was also conducted, and their working procedures were explained.
Through live demos and practical exercises, the jawans were trained in correctly activating fire extinguishers, laying hose pipes, and controlling pressure during emergencies.
