The Jharkhand Government Tool Room and Training Center (GTRTC), located in Jardaha under Jarmundi block of Dumka district, hosted its first convocation ceremony on Tuesday for students completing the Diploma in Tool and Die Making course. Deputy Commissioner Abhijit Sinha attended the solemn occasion as the chief guest and awarded diploma certificates to the successful graduates while wishing them a bright future.
Addressing the gathering, the Deputy Commissioner marked the day as a significant milestone in the lives of the students as they transition into professional careers with specialized technical qualifications. Emphasizing that earning a diploma should not be the ultimate objective, Sinha highlighted the importance of applying acquired knowledge and practical skillsets toward industrial growth and societal progress. Drawing inspiration from the Prime Minister’s national initiative, he exhorted the youth to work toward realizing a “Make in Dumka” vision.
Sinha further noted that technical programs such as Tool and Die Making offer immense potential for employment and self-employment, equipping trainees with the proficiency required to secure opportunities in major industrial units across the nation. He urged the passing batch to remain lifelong learners, embrace innovation, and actively contribute to the industrial advancement of both the state and the country. The convocation ceremony was attended by institution officials, instructors, graduating students, and several prominent guests.
