In an exciting encounter at the JSCA International Stadium Complex, Koyelaanchal Super Kings defeated Chota Nagpur Royals by five wickets, chasing down a challenging target of 191 with five balls to spare in the Jharkhand T20 Cricket League 2026.

Despite a brilliant bowling performance by Suprieyo Chakraborty, who claimed five wickets, the Royals failed to defend their total.

Batting first, Chota Nagpur Royals got off to a solid start with openers Virat Singh and MD Nazim Siddiqui putting together a 77-run partnership. Chandan Kumar Mukhi then played a blistering knock of 49 off just 18 balls, emerging as the top scorer for his side. Riding on these contributions, the Royals posted 190 all out in 19.4 overs.

For Koylanchal Super Kings, Shubh Sharma was the pick of the bowlers, registering figures of 3/43 in 3.4 overs. Harsh Raj (2/34), Utkarsh Singh (2/34), and Amit Kumar (2/36) also chipped in with two wickets each.

In response, Koyelaanchal Super Kings made a strong start with openers Utkarsh Singh and Player of the Match Sharandeep Singh Bhatia stitching together a match-defining 122-run opening stand. Utkarsh Singh scored a fluent 53 off 32 balls, while Bhatia anchored the chase with a commanding 79 off 50 deliveries.

Shubh Sharma then provided the finishing touch with an unbeaten 31 off 14 balls, guiding his team to 192/5 in 19.1 overs.

For the Royals, Chakraborty stood out with the ball, finishing with impressive figures of 5/29 in 3.1 overs, though his efforts ultimately went in vain.
