Pakur police solves murder case in 48 Hours

Pakur Police achieved a major breakthrough by solving a blind murder case within just 48 hours and arresting two accused involved in the crime.

According to police, on May 28, 2026, information was received about a decomposed body found in a forest at village Bada Chatkam under Littipara police station (Simlong OP) area. Following this, a case (No. 27/2026) was registered. The deceased was later identified as Sunil Pahadia (around 35 years), a resident of Rajabhita village in Sundarpahari police station area of Godda district.

Considering the seriousness of the case, a Special Investigation Team (SIT) was formed under the leadership of the Sub-Divisional Police Officer on the directions of Superintendent of Police Anudeep Singh. The team conducted swift raids using technical, human, and scientific evidence and successfully arrested both main accused within 48 hours.

The arrested accused have been identified as Jaliya Pahadia and Dharma Pahadia. During interrogation, both confessed to their involvement in the murder. The stone used in the crime has also been recovered based on their disclosure.

Both accused have been produced before the court for further legal proceedings. The police team included DSP Kumar Gaurav, Inspector Baburam Bhagat, Sub-Inspectors Balwant Dubey, Dilip Baskey, Munna Prasad, and Assistant Sub-Inspector Mrityunjay Kumar Pathak.

Superintendent of Police Anudeep Singh praised the team, stating that the timely use of technical and human intelligence helped in quickly apprehending the criminals. The success reflects Pakur Police’s commitment to maintaining law and order in the district.
