Punjab National Bank (PNB) Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Ashok Chandra held a series of meetings with government officials, customers, business representatives and bank employees during his visit to Ranchi, underscoring the bank’s focus on customer service, stakeholder engagement and business growth.

As part of the visit, Chandra paid courtesy calls on senior Jharkhand government officials, including Prashant Kumar, Finance Secretary, and Rajesh Sharma, Secretary, Food and Consumer Affairs Department. During the meetings, discussions were held on matters of mutual interest and the role of the banking sector in supporting the state’s development initiatives.

Later, at a programme held at Hotel Radisson Blu, Chandra interacted with existing and prospective customers of the bank. He listened to their concerns, sought feedback on banking services and invited suggestions for further improving customer experience and service delivery.

The PNB chief also met representatives of the Jharkhand Chamber of Commerce, including its President Aditya Malhotra, Secretary Amit Agrawal and other members. The discussions focused on various business and banking-related issues, with an emphasis on strengthening cooperation between the banking sector and the business community.

Addressing the media, Chandra highlighted PNB’s various banking products, customer-centric initiatives and the institution’s efforts to enhance financial services across different segments. He also outlined the bank’s ongoing initiatives aimed at expanding outreach and improving operational efficiency.

Concluding his visit, Chandra addressed employees of the Ranchi Circle during a town hall meeting. He briefed staff members on the bank’s expectations, the evolving landscape of the banking industry and the need to adapt to changing customer requirements.

Emphasising the importance of customer satisfaction, he urged employees to focus on delivering superior service and maintaining high standards of professionalism in all customer interactions.
