YHAI Jharkhand to host Excellence Award Ceremony on July 2

The Jharkhand State Branch of the Youth Hostels Association of India (YHAI) has decided to organise its biennial Excellence Award Ceremony on July 2, 2026, to honour individuals who have made outstanding contributions in diverse fields and inspired society through their work.
The decision was taken during an important meeting of the state branch held on Tuesday. According to the organisers, the ceremony will be hosted at the Aryabhatta Auditorium located on the campus of Ranchi University.
The Excellence Award Ceremony, held once every two years, recognises distinguished personalities for their exceptional achievements and contributions in areas such as education, sports, social service, youth development, environmental conservation, culture and other fields of public importance.
During the meeting, members discussed the overall framework of the event, preparations for the programme and the process of inviting guests. It was also decided that the Governor of Jharkhand would be invited to attend the ceremony as the chief guest.
YHAI representatives said the event aims not only to acknowledge individuals who have excelled in their respective fields but also to encourage young people to pursue meaningful work and contribute positively to society.
The meeting was attended by Dr Nitin Madan Kulkarni, President of the YHAI Jharkhand State Branch, along with Shivendra Dubey, Chanchal Bhattacharya and Uday Sahu.
Members expressed confidence that the award ceremony would serve as a platform to celebrate excellence and inspire the younger generation by highlighting the achievements of people who have made a significant impact in their communities and beyond.
