Meritorious student Debanshi Chakravarty from Ranchi will leave for Australia in August 2026 to pursue higher education. She has secured admission to the Master of Science (MS) in Artificial Intelligence programme at the prestigious University of New South Wales (UNSW), Sydney.
The University of New South Wales is one of Australia’s leading universities and enjoys a strong global reputation. According to the QS World University Rankings 2026, UNSW is ranked first in Australia and 19th in the world. Gaining admission to such a prestigious institution for advanced studies in the rapidly evolving field of Artificial Intelligence is a testament to Debanshi’s academic excellence and dedication.
Debanshi completed her schooling at Loreto Convent, Ranchi, and DAV Kapildev Public School, Ranchi. Throughout her school and college years, she actively participated in a wide range of co-curricular and extracurricular activities alongside her academics. She earned several awards and accolades for her outstanding performances in these activities. Her versatility, creativity, and active involvement across diverse fields have been defining aspects of her personality.
Debanshi’s father, Dr AK Chakraborty, is a Professor at Birsa Agricultural University, Ranchi, while her mother, Dr Tanushree Chakraborty, is a government doctor in Ranchi. Raised in a family deeply associated with the fields of education and healthcare, Debanshi has brought pride to her family through her talent, hard work, and academic achievements.
