Sarala Birla Public School, Ranchi celebrated the auspicious festival of Rath Yatra with great devotion and enthusiasm through a special assembly. The programme commenced with a soulful prayer presented by the school choir, creating a serene and spiritual atmosphere. The highlight of the celebration was the ceremonial pulling of the chariot, symbolising unity, faith, and the triumph of righteousness. A vibrant devotional dance performance captivated the audience. The celebration was further enriched by a delightful tableau presented by the pre-primary students, beautifully dressed as Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra and Mata Subhadra and portrayed the divine journey with innocence and enthusiasm which was further enriched by an informative speech that highlighted the cultural and spiritual importance of Rath Yatra.
Principal, Manisha Sharma addressed the gathering, encouraging students to imbibe the values of humility, compassion and togetherness reflected in the festival. She reminded them that Lord Jagannath’s journey symbolizes the importance of embracing everyone with love and equality. She motivated the students to remain rooted in Indian culture and traditions while striving to become responsible, kind and disciplined individuals.
