A significant review meeting was chaired by Deputy Commissioner Saurabh Kumar Bhuvania in the Collectorate meeting hall. The meeting focused on a detailed review of the progress of various development schemes being implemented under the District Mineral Foundation Trust (DMFT) and the Aspirational Block Programme (ABF).
During the meeting, the DC conducted a department-wise review of the ongoing schemes in the district. He directed officials to ensure special monitoring of works in the sectors of education, health, and social welfare. He emphasized that these sectors directly concern the common people and the future of children, and therefore, no laxity would be tolerated in their implementation.
While discussing development in urban and rural areas, the DC instructed the Social Welfare Department to prioritize the construction of new Anganwadi buildings and the renovation of old ones across the district. He also directed concerned officers to ensure 100% availability of toilets in every school in the district so that students receive a clean and safe environment.
The DC further instructed that all pending schemes should be completed within the stipulated time frame with proper quality. He asked officials to conduct field visits to inspect the works at the ground level.
Additionally, he stated that the development of Aspirational Blocks is a priority for NITI Aayog. Therefore, block-wise progress should be reviewed against all key indicators set by NITI Aayog, particularly in health, nutrition, education, and agriculture. Lagging indicators must be improved immediately. He also directed the fellows posted in the Aspirational Blocks to conduct regular field visits and submit actual ground-level reports of scheme implementation directly to the DC’s office through the Deputy Development Commissioner’s office.
Present on the occasion were DDC Piyush Sinha, District Planning Officer Mukesh Kumar, Assistant Public Relations Officer Rohit Kumar Vidyarthi, and team members of DMFT and ABF.
