SAIL elevates nine BSL executives to CGM rank

Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) has promoted nine senior executives of Bokaro Steel Plant (BSL) from the E-7 to E-8 grade, elevating them to the rank of Chief General Manager (CGM) with effect from June 30, 2025, as part of its latest executive promotion exercise. 

The executives promoted are Bhupendra Singh (Materials Management), H. Shekhar (Human Resource), Jitan Nath Hansda (Shops & Foundry), Joydeep Dasgupta (RMHP), Praveen Gupta (Finance & Accounts), Sanjeev Kumar Misra (CRM I & II), Shyam Sunder (Quality), Tribhuwan Prasad Verma (Electrical), and Vinod Kumar (Projects). While most have been elevated within Bokaro Steel Plant, a few have been assigned key leadership responsibilities at other SAIL units, including the Corporate Office, IISCO Steel Plant and Rourkela Steel Plant. 

The promotions form part of SAIL’s organisation-wide E-7 to E-8 elevation process covering executives across its integrated steel plants, the Corporate Office and allied units.
