In accordance with the Election Commission of India’s directives for the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) 2026 of electoral rolls, special camps were conducted on Saturday at all urban polling stations across Ranchi district, drawing a significant response from voters.
The camps, held from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, facilitated the distribution and submission of enumeration forms required for the ongoing voter verification exercise. A large number of electors visited their designated polling stations to either collect the forms or submit duly completed ones to the concerned Booth Level Officers (BLOs).
Election officials ensured that voters who had not yet received the enumeration forms were provided with them on the spot. BLOs also assisted voters by addressing their queries and offering guidance on completing the documentation required under the Special Intensive Revision process.
District Election Officer-cum-Deputy Commissioner Manjunath Bhajantri said another round of special camps would be held on July 20, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, at all urban polling stations in Ranchi. The camps are intended for voters who have not yet collected or submitted their enumeration forms.
Appealing to eligible voters to take advantage of the upcoming camp, Bhajantri stressed that the timely collection and submission of enumeration forms is essential for the smooth and successful completion of the SIR 2026 exercise. He urged all remaining urban voters to visit their respective polling stations on July 20 and complete the process without delay.
The Deputy Commissioner also clarified that voters who have already submitted their enumeration forms to the concerned BLO or have successfully completed the process through the online portal are not required to visit the special camps again.
The Special Intensive Revision is being carried out by the Election Commission of India to ensure that electoral rolls remain accurate, updated, and inclusive ahead of future elections.
