St. John’s High School, Jamshedpur, under the banner of the Victor Francis Memorial, organized a grand Blood Donation Camp on Saturday with the aim of promoting humanity, service and social responsibility. The initiative carried the message, “Be the Reason for Someone’s Life – Donate Blood, Save Lives,” and sought to raise awareness about the importance of voluntary blood donation.

The camp was held at the school premises from 8 a.m. and began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp. The event was inaugurated by Chief Guest Dr. Ashok Jadon, Guest of Honour Sanjay Choudhary, Principal Ashu Tiwary, the Vice Principal and other distinguished guests. The programme was organized in collaboration with Jamshedpur Blood Bank.

Principal Ashu Tiwary, members of the teaching and non-teaching staff, and the entire school fraternity actively participated in the event and contributed to its successful organization. The school administration appealed to healthy and eligible citizens to come forward and support the noble cause, emphasizing that one unit of donated blood can help save multiple lives.

A total of 49 individuals donated blood during the camp, reflecting a strong sense of social responsibility and compassion. The enthusiastic participation of donors highlighted the spirit of service and commitment towards the welfare of society.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Ashok Jadon stressed the significance of blood donation and said that blood is one of the most precious gifts a person can offer to another human being. He noted that donating blood gives someone in need a second chance at life.

Sanjay Choudhary, Administrator of Jamshedpur Blood Bank, encouraged people to participate regularly in such humanitarian initiatives. He described blood donors as silent heroes whose simple act of kindness can save lives and bring hope to countless families.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by a Class XII student, who expressed gratitude to the guests, donors, teachers, volunteers and all those who contributed to the success of the event.
