Jamshedpur

Emphasizing the importance of recognizing and encouraging young achievers, Jamshedpur West MLA and former Jharkhand minister Saryu Roy said that honoring talent plays a crucial role in motivating students to strive for excellence. He urged students to compete with themselves rather than with others, adding that true success comes when individuals overcome their own limitations.

Roy was speaking at a felicitation ceremony organized by the All India Sikh Students Federation at Bistupur Gurudwara Sahib on Tuesday. The event was held to honor students who secured outstanding results in the ICSE and CBSE examinations.

During the programme, medals and certificates were presented to meritorious students in recognition of their academic achievements. Roy, along with other dignitaries, congratulated the students and encouraged them to continue pursuing excellence in their educational journey.

Federation chief Satnam Singh Gambhir said that it was a matter of pride and honor for the organization to felicitate talented students and acknowledge their hard work and dedication.

Earlier, Federation President Satnam Singh Gambhir welcomed the chief guest and honored Saryu Roy by presenting him with a shawl. The ceremony witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, parents, and members of the Sikh community.

The organizers credited the success of the programme to the collective efforts and support of several community members, including Amarjit Singh Bhamra, Inder Singh Inder, Manpreet Singh, Inderjit Singh Panesar, Mahendarpal Singh Bhui, Manvir Singh, Sukhvinder Singh, Prakash Singh and Hardayal Singh. The event concluded with participants expressing hope that such recognition programmes would continue to inspire students to excel in academics and contribute positively to society.
