The Bokaro district administration will organise the Amralika Mango Festival 2026 under the Birsa Harit Gram Yojana at the District Council (Zila Parishad) office premises on June 9. The festival will be held from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Based on the theme “Three Flavours, One Identity,” the festival will showcase the renowned Amrapali, Mallika and Langra mango varieties. The initiative aims to encourage mango cultivation and provide farmers and Self-Help Group (SHG) members with a dedicated platform to market their produce.
A major attraction of the festival will be the participation of SHG women, who will display and sell mangoes and value-added mango products. The initiative is expected to create better marketing opportunities, increase income generation and contribute to their economic empowerment and self-reliance.
The festival will witness participation from mango growers, beneficiary farmers, SHGs and the general public. Visitors will also be able to access information on horticulture, mango production, processing and marketing through various stalls.
DC Ajay Nath Jha and DDC Shatabdi Majumdar have appealed to farmers, SHG members and residents to participate in large numbers and make the event a success.
