A group of students from Belgium, currently visiting Jharkhand under a university student exchange programme, toured the Jharkhand Legislative Assembly on Friday as part of their academic and cultural exposure.
During the visit, the students paid a courtesy call on Jharkhand Legislative Assembly Speaker Rabindra Nath Mahato and shared their experiences of exploring the state. As a token of remembrance, the Speaker presented them with Sadan Samvad, a publication of the Jharkhand Legislative Assembly.
The students spoke about their interactions with Jharkhand’s rich tribal heritage, cultural diversity, traditions, and local way of life. They said the state’s vibrant culture, scenic beauty, and the warmth and hospitality of its people had made a lasting impression on them.
Welcoming the delegation, Speaker Rabindra Nath Mahato said such academic exchange programmes not only broaden students’ perspectives but also strengthen mutual understanding, friendship, and knowledge-sharing between countries.
He noted that international educational exchanges play an important role in promoting cultural dialogue and fostering closer people-to-people ties, while providing students with valuable opportunities to learn from diverse societies and traditions.
