The positive impact of the government’s ambitious Birsa Harit Gram Yojana is now becoming clearly visible on the ground, as beneficiaries proudly showcased their success at a Mango Fair organised at the Hiranpur block premises.
Farmers associated with the scheme displayed and sold a wide variety of mangoes grown in their orchards, presenting a compelling story of transformation and self-reliance. The exhibition featured premium varieties such as Amrapali, Maldah, Khirsapati, and Miyazaki, drawing significant attention from visitors.
The quality, diversity, and attractive presentation of the mangoes impressed attendees, many of whom purchased the produce, boosting farmers’ confidence and morale.
Officials, including the Circle Officer, Project Officer, and Block Programme Officer, visited the stalls and interacted with the beneficiaries. They appreciated the farmers’ efforts and highlighted the scheme’s role in enhancing rural incomes, generating employment, and promoting horticulture in the state.
“The Birsa Harit Gram Yojana is playing a crucial role in empowering farmers and strengthening the rural economy. With dedication and hard work, farmers are turning this initiative into a pathway for self-sufficiency and prosperity,” officials said.
They also encouraged farmers to continue adopting modern techniques in fruit cultivation and focus on better marketing strategies to maximize returns.
The Mango Fair not only provided beneficiaries with a platform to market their produce but also ensured the availability of quality fruits to local consumers. Such initiatives are proving instrumental in promoting agriculture and horticulture-based livelihoods in Jharkhand.
