Pakur Admin arranges treatment for TB patient after Speaker’s Post

Acting promptly on a social media post by Jharkhand Assembly Speaker Ravindra Nath Mahato on platform X, Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Magistrate Megha Bhardwaj took immediate cognizance of the matter and directed officials to conduct an inquiry and initiate necessary action.
Following her instructions, the Block Development Officer of Pakuria and the In-Charge Medical Officer of the Community Health Centre, Pakuria, carried out an investigation into the case of Rita Suhagni Hembram (25), a resident of Mohanpur Phuljhinjhri village.
The inquiry revealed that the patient is suffering from Pulmonary Tuberculosis and has been undergoing regular treatment since May 20, 2026. On June 3, 2026, she was admitted to the Community Health Centre, Pakuria, where she is currently receiving appropriate medical care.
Officials also confirmed that the patient has been provided with a TB nutrition kit, and her treatment and health monitoring are being conducted in accordance with prescribed medical protocols.
The Deputy Commissioner has instructed concerned officials to ensure continuous monitoring of the patient’s treatment, nutrition, social security benefits, and other necessary support. She emphasized that all eligible benefits must be provided in a timely manner.
The district administration reiterated its commitment to extending healthcare services and welfare schemes to the needy and vulnerable sections of society, ensuring sensitivity and prompt action in such cases.
