On the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, Brahma Kumari sisters tied a Raksha Sutra to Deputy Commissioner Ajay Nath Jha and offered prayers for the happiness, peace, safety and prosperity of the people of Bokaro. His wife, Dr Pratima Jha, was also present.
The Deputy Commissioner said Raksha Bandhan symbolises not only the bond of affection and trust but also the values of security, respect, harmony and mutual cooperation. He thanked the Brahma Kumari sisters for their good wishes.
An initiative was also taken to organise meditation sessions for district officials and employees at the Brahma Kumari centre to promote mental well-being, concentration, positivity and a healthy work environment. Jha said mental balance is essential for carrying out administrative responsibilities effectively and providing more sensitive public service.
