Amid growing concerns over the examination and recruitment processes of the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) and the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC), Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Wednesday met Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar at Raj Bhavan to discuss the issue. Chief Secretary Avinash Kumar was also present during the meeting.
The discussion focused on the recent controversies surrounding JPSC and JSSC examinations, recruitment procedures, and the ongoing protests by students alleging irregularities in the selection process. The Chief Minister briefed the Governor on the developments and informed him about the steps being taken by the state government to address the concerns raised by candidates.
Expressing concern over the alleged irregularities, Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar stressed that the interests of students should remain the top priority. He said that recruitment examinations must be conducted with complete transparency, fairness, and accountability to ensure that deserving candidates receive equal opportunities.
The Governor also emphasized the need for both commissions to strengthen their functioning and adopt transparent procedures so that their credibility remains beyond question. He underlined that public confidence in recruitment agencies is essential for maintaining the integrity of the state’s selection process.
Chief Minister Hemant Soren assured the Governor that the state government is committed to ensuring justice for students and safeguarding the interests of aspirants. He stated that any attempt to compromise the future of the youth would not be tolerated and that the government would take all necessary measures to protect the integrity of recruitment examinations.
He further assured that a fair and impartial inquiry would be conducted into the allegations, and strict action would be initiated against those found responsible. The government, he said, is determined to restore the confidence of candidates by ensuring a transparent and accountable recruitment system in the state.
