District Election Officer (DEO)-cum-Deputy Commissioner Ajay Nath Jha and his wife Dr Pratima Jha participated in the Special Intensive Revision (SIR)-2026 process on Saturday, encouraging eligible voters to fulfil their democratic responsibility by taking part in the electoral roll revision.
The process was completed at Polling Station No. 319, where Booth Level Officer (BLO) Sonali Devi carried out the digitisation. Teacher and volunteer Sudhanshu Singh Choudhary was also present.
Dr Pratima Jha said that an accurate and updated electoral roll is the foundation of a strong democracy and urged every eligible voter to complete the process in time. “I have completed my SIR. You should do it too,” she said.
DEO Ajay Nath Jha also appealed to all eligible voters to actively participate in the SIR exercise. On the occasion, he congratulated Priyanka Mahato for her outstanding contribution as #BokaroBrandAmbassador in assisting BLOs and called upon more youth to support the campaign.
The district administration is conducting the SIR-2026 campaign to ensure timely distribution, collection and digitisation of enumeration forms so that no eligible voter is left out of the electoral roll.
