Deoghar Admin reviews welfare schemes for grassroots implementation

Deputy Commissioner Saurabh Kumar Bhuvania on Monday directed Welfare Department officials to ensure effective implementation of welfare and development schemes and guarantee that benefits reach every eligible beneficiary.
Chairing a review meeting, the DC instructed all Block Welfare Officers to conduct regular field inspections, strengthen grassroots-level implementation and improve coordination among district, block and panchayat-level officials.
He reviewed the status, budget allocation and expenditure of various schemes, including welfare hostels, Jaharsthan fencing, construction of Manjhi Bhawan, and Pre-Matric and Post-Matric scholarships. He also assessed the block-wise progress of the bicycle distribution programme and directed officials to ensure 100 per cent distribution.
Bhuvania reviewed the implementation of the Chief Minister Employment Generation Scheme and the Chief Minister Health Assistance Scheme, directing officials to ensure that all eligible beneficiaries are covered. He also called for extensive awareness campaigns on the health assistance scheme and better coordination between Welfare and Health Department officials to provide timely medical support.
The Deputy Commissioner instructed officers to conduct regular village visits, interact with residents and identify local needs in education and healthcare. He also asked them to create awareness against social evils such as child marriage and maintain strict vigilance in rural areas.
Special emphasis was laid on addressing the issues of Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs) through close monitoring and timely intervention.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Development Commissioner Piyush Sinha, District Welfare Officer Dayanand Dubey, Assistant Public Relations Officer Rohit Kumar Vidyarthi, Block Welfare Officers and other departmental officials.
