During the meeting, attended by Forest Officer Sandeep Shinde, Additional Collector Sunil Chandra, DPLR Purnima Kumari and other officials, the Deputy Commissioner reviewed the union’s demands and directed its representatives to submit all BSL-related documents to the DPLR office by Monday. The district administration will forward the agenda to Bokaro Steel Plant (BSL) management on Tuesday for necessary action.
DC assured the representatives that the district administration is committed to resolving the concerns of displaced families through coordinated efforts. He also announced that a tripartite meeting involving the district administration, the union and BSL management will be held on August 17, 2026, to discuss all pending issues.
Following the Deputy Commissioner’s assurance and initiative, the union agreed to defer its proposed protest.
