In a major push to streamline the issuance of vital documents, the Dumka district administration is all set to launch a dedicated mega drive, titled the ‘Abua Praman Patra Abhiyan,’ spanning from June 6 to June 30. The intensive campaign aims to expedite the processing and distribution of caste and residency certificates to beneficiaries across the region.
Chairing a high-level review meeting via video conferencing on Thursday, Dumka Deputy Commissioner (DC) Abhijit Sinha directed all block and circle officials to ensure the campaign achieves maximum penetration, leaving no eligible rural resident behind.
To ensure maximum accessibility for villagers, the Deputy Commissioner instructed that special camps be organized across all panchayats. Each camp will be strategically mapped to cover a cluster of six to seven villages, with a strict mandate to set up at least two distinct camp locations within every panchayat to minimize travel for the rural public.
For the seamless execution of the drive, the DC made the physical presence of local village heads (Pradhans), Village Level Entrepreneurs (VLEs), Common Service Center (CSC) operators, and block office personnel mandatory at all camp venues to assist applicants on the spot.
He further emphasized that the success of the initiative hinges on robust community awareness, ordering extensive local publicity in advance so that villagers are fully informed of the schedules and documentation required.
Additionally, keeping the intense summer heat wave in mind, the DC issued strict directives to arrange adequate drinking water facilities and necessary shade at all camp sites for the comfort of the visiting public. The virtual review meeting was attended by all Block Development Officers (BDOs), Circle Officers (COs), and line department officials.
