Newly appointed Chief Executive Officer of Hindustan Zinc, Amarendu Prakash, has outlined his vision for the company’s next phase of growth, expressing confidence that it is uniquely positioned to shape the future of India’s metals and mining sector.
Prakash, who recently joined Hindustan Zinc after serving as Chairman of the Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), said his first Sampark interaction with employees across the organisation reinforced his belief in the company’s strong workforce, operational excellence and technological capabilities.
In a post , he said these strengths would help accelerate the HZL 2.0 journey, with a focus on higher production, technological excellence and sustainable value creation.
He emphasised that Hindustan Zinc would continue to build on its core values of safety, disciplined execution, continuous improvement and an empowering work culture. Acknowledging the guidance of Vedanta Chairman Anil Agarwal and Chairperson Priya Agarwal ,CEO Prakash said he looks forward to working with the company’s teams to transform Hindustan Zinc into a future-ready, technology-led, world-class multi-metal company.
